hi all, i have a gorgeous vintage icon v 52 t style guitar. It's a copy of a '52 tele and plays and sounds a dream. The headstock on it though is more like the headstock of a strat than that of a tele. I'm wondering where could i get the headstock shaped into a class tele shape, i know this can be done just not sure how to go about it. The guitar is roadworn so it's not a proble about paintwork/gloss etc. All help appreciated, here's what i have and what i'm looking for

A custom guitar maker/luthier could probably do it and so could you.
If you're not comfortable with it thought, look around for a good luthier, Haze Guitars recently had a good write up on the forum.

I wouldn't bother personally but it looks like it should be easy enough. You could get a tele headstock template, tape it on or draw it on your headstock and then go at it sanding, or with a router if you have one and are confident with it. It looks like most of what you have to take out is the hump.
Another option would be to buy a tele replacement neck with the headstock you want.

If you want a real Tele headstock, buy a Fender Tele. Otherwise just live with it.

Re elk an I'm simply enquiring about the possibility, I already have a tele just windering if it's possible. It's MY decision what to do with MY guitar

It would be fairly easy to do
mark out the shape you want to cut with a thin line & cut it with a coping saw taking your time then give it a rub of some sandpaper
my issue would be getting the colouring right on the raw finish
