Htc desire battery problim

My htc desire battery is the pits 5hrs max and then rip it goes now I love the phone and would love to get a high powered battery on e bay but do not know what I am looking for the phone is 2 years old and is not a htc desire hd can anyone please point me in the right direction

You're looking for a battery for a HTC Desire, what more do you need to know? There is a HTC part number on the battery in your phone.

So I just put in the part number in the search bar on e bay right

If you want to search for documents which include the terms 'htc', 'battery' and 'desire' but explicitly exclude hits which include 'hd' then you put the following into the search bar in google......

htc battery desire -hd

or just put in the part number on the back of the battery, one or the other.
