Iphone 4 and o2.ie email

    just wondering , i am able to go onto my phone and delete emails from the server but i cannot go onto the o2.ie account and delete emails from my Iphone there , i used be able to do this on my old Nokia N95 mini and i am just wondering is there a a way of doing this ,

    any thoughts much appreciated

    If 02 support IMAP, then your iPhone will mirror the emails and folders that are on the server. If it's POP3, then it might be that the iPhone is downloading a copy of the emails locally, which would then be a duplicate of what's on the server. So deleting it from the server won't delete the copy stored locally.
