That Friday feeling

Has anybody else got that delicious Friday feeling? A little butterfly in your tummy, a lightness in your chest and that general feeling of anticipation?
Over the years Friday has changed its flavour for me, but the Friday feeling feels the same.

In school it was the comforting thought of yummy Friday dinner, the Aussie soaps, one night off from study and perhaps the chance to stand on corners with boys. In my 20s it was the heady anticipation of beers and more in various boozers of ill repute, where one could enjoy daycent dance music and the aroma of tobacco instead of Guinness farts :P. Now that I'm an ould wan it's looking forward to a takeaway and my Breaking Bad box-set.

But always the same Friday feeling, anticipation wrapped up in a little knot of joy at being alive. So go on, share your Friday feeling. What are you looking forward to doing tonight? (Other than fapping.......)

    No. I work weekends!

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Not going out tonight so will probably enter the competition on the pile of ****e that is the Late Late Show and then hide behind the sofa for the duration of the evening fearful that DLB will phone me and I'll have to admit that a. I'm staying in on a Friday and b. that I condescended to cast my eye over the travesty that has become the Late Late.

I'll be probably get slightly tipsy as well.

Oh, and look forward to a long and luxuriant lie-in tomorrow morning mmmm :D

I wish someone would write a song about how great friday is. I bet we could all relate to it and it would be a youtube sensation.

    Oh look, there's my friends!

Although I went out last night,so tonight will be flaking out, looking forward to two days of doing the same-accompanied by friends and most probably a few drinks.

I love Fridays! The kids go out, the OH is in the pub. And I don't have work again till Monday.

After dropping kids to their friends I stop at the Offy, get a bottle of wine, run a bath, light candles and drink said wine in bath. And have a CD of my choice on full blast. Bliss :)

    I love Fridays I do.
