When I try to enable file sharing using smb it keeps telling me that I have the incorrect password.
I've done a google search and it seems a good few people have the same problem, anyone know what's wrong?

I've still not managed to solve the above problem and i've also not being able to get home sharing working between the iMac and iPad and also the eyetv app on the iPad can't find eyetv on the iMac either.
I disabled the firewall on the router but I still had the problem.
Anyone have an idea what's wrong?

Anyone get a cure for this, trying to get a 20GB file from lion to windows 7 and I just can't seem to get the 2 computers to talk to each other using a network cable.
Can it be done via air drop or is that only mac to mac?

Thats more Hobsons than Hobbes choice I think! The problem with Lion and SMB is that Apple have moved from the Open Source version to their own version. This has caused mayhem and there are lots of work around that even include reinstalling Samba3 or reinstalling Samba3!
Have you upgraded to 10.7.2 yet because this may be relevant?
I believe the Lion implementation of smb looks @ port 445 not port 139 which was on previous versions.

Well I haven't had any issues with Lion yet connecting SMB.

    So I do something like:

    smb://user@machine/c$
