    why would it bother anyone. I'd be bothered by people who were bothered by it tbh. Ireland isn't a fanatical conservative religious backwater (anymore).

    His ties to FF would bother me but being divorced, no. Why is this happening? Has he not just been married for about 5 minutes?

    No, I don't see how his marital status effects his ability to be president. I wouldn't vote for him anyway, but he would probably get my number two if i was in the country.
