Anyone know where I could get a copy of the book 'Economics of Irish Agriculture' by Sheehy. Hasnt been published since the 80's I think so it's pretty rare. Would like to find a copy though...

PS This is probably posted in the wrong place but I cant find a better one there are so many sections on this forum...

Your best bet is to try some of the more specialist second hand bookshops - if they don't have a copy they might be able to put some 'feelers' out for you and see if there's any copy around.

The bookshop in Georges St Arcade in Dublin has turned up trumps for me in the past - might be worth a shot.

I know you're probably looking for this for a specific reason, but both Des Gilmore and J.J. Walsh published a lot on this subject right through the 1980s and 1990s (there were others too - Alan Matthews is very good on the subject too, and Paddy Commins and Seamus Lafferty have done some very good work).

I have a copy of this. It's a very informative text, shouldn't be too rare, many Irish economics graduates would be familiar with it or might own it.

Are you an alumnus of a university who might be able to lend it to you? Or know someone who might be able to borrow it from a college library?

The book was co-published by the Institute of public Administration, and you should get onto them, as I have no doubt it should still be in their library

If there are specific aspects you want, I could scan and send you parts from my own copy (with all due respect to copyright law :pac:)

There is a copy in the National Library, and a few other libraries: http://www.worldcat.org/title/economics-of-irish-agriculture/oclc/12933040

Thanks everyone. I have a copy out of UCC library but as you say it's a very good book so I'd love my own copy. Second-hand bookshops look like the way forward. Thanks
