    Hi,

I have recently taken an interest in genealogy and have a lot of very old family photos that I would like to restore.
It appears to be an expensive service and I think I would enjoy learning how to do it and restore the pictures myself.
So I was thinking of looking at a beginners evening course in Photoshop.
Can anybody recommend a Dublin Photoshop course that would contain or progress to photo restoration please?

Thanks for any help or tips.

A beginners course is a good start ...then maybe an intermediate course....and possibly an advanced course.

the reason why it is an expensive service is mainly because it is difficult to do (to do it properly).

Like a lot of photography post processing techniques - it requires time to learn and understand, practice, practice ... practice.

there is not an easy way of saying it - fixing an old torn image is not simply a matter of cloning a similar piece.... sometimes you need to go pixel by pixel to make adjustments.
