leaking water mains connection (pic attached)

    The mains water connection at the side of my house often leaks water just as shown in the picture. It happens very intermittently and I've only noticed it in the last few months, the amount of water is very small, its more seeming than leaking.

    The council is doing a lot of work on water pipes in the area, would this have anything to do with it?

    Any suggestions?

    Could be damaged fittings, worn valve, corrosion, subsidence... Mentioned Council works in your area have probably involved changes in mains pressure. Council's responsibility to repair. Take immediate action; if your area is Galway City, report to Galway City Council. Here is a link to their number:
