In my main bathroom we've a shower trying to explain this best I can...You have your taps on the bath and connected of them is a shower. You just turn a lever to switch from taps to shower. Problem is the lever will turn but won't switch to the shower . What could be wrong here? Any eay solution or is a new tap shower set best option?

Don't really think I'd be able to. Can anyone tell me how to fix the problem? Could there be a washer of some sort missing/ worn ?

It's most likely the hose is the problem as there isn't much that can go wrong with the lever. I've come across this before. The hose looks ok but the Rubber tube inside perishes and collapses, closing of the Water to the Shower head.

There are lots of people here willing to offer advice, but you really dont give enough detail. A picture paints a thousand words...
