I am writing a lab report for college and I need to find a general reaction mechanism for the derivatization of glucose, sucrose and fructose with TMCS and BSTFA to allow their analysis by gas chromatography.

Anyone know a good site to find this kind of info, google has yielded nothing. I need to explain it and I need an equation for the reaction. Would the library in college be my best bet? Anyone recommend a textbook for this kind of thing, have not really needed to look this kind of thing up so far so not sure where to start.

    Thanks in advance.
