    I have been told to get this for my daughter to use after brushing.Is this a good practice for a 7 year old or is it just the latest fashion?? We brush her teeth twice a day with an oral B electric toothbrush for 3 minutes.Is this enough or should it be more.

    Depends on why it was advised;
    If you really are brushing twice a day for 3mins with an electric brush- then her teeth and gums are highly unlikely to be "dirty".
    If however, your dentist advised this rinse due to a high decay risk to prevent further decay and strengthen teeth- then it may be indicated...

    Remember, you can have the dirtiest teeth and no decay and visa versa, the cleanest teeth and plenty of decay.

    Decay is caused by regular intake of sugars, brushing twice a day does little to prevent this....

    Does she have any tooth decay already??

    a fluoride mouthrinse would also be recommended for people over 7 years of age if you have non-fluoridated water so even if she currently doesn't have decay it may be a good idea if your water supply isn't fluoridated.

    I think due to new teeth coming in and teeth not fully lined up was part of the reason.gets the hard to reach spots I suppose.We have flouride in our water.No tooth decay so far.Wife very strict about brushing.
