From the text on that page:
    Get free-to-air satellite
About 162,000 households receive their TV this way and it’s because you can get all the channels without paying a monthly subscription fee.

You can buy a satellite dish and also a freesat/freeview box and also use an aerial to get the free Irish channels. This means you will also need to buy a Saorview set-top box to decode the digital signal via the aerial.

But, if you moving to this method now you can buy a combination freesat / Saorview set-top box (approx €100) for use with your dish and aerial, or buy a combination box (over €300) for use without a dish or aerial.

It's a confusing enough subject for the public without these sort of basic errors.

Maybe she meant that to get a Aerial Installer to call out to a house climb up on to a 2 storey roof attach a cradle, lashing kit, a pole and a wide band aerial to the Chimney and run a cable to the Saorview box or TV would cost the bones of €150. Prices are here http://www.saorview.ie/make-the-switch/how-much-does-switching-to-saorview-cost/

I got the impression they had both read the leaflets but not understood them. More confusion and little illumination.

RTE (as opposed to RTE NL) have consistently ignored Saorview, and look upon ASO as the launch date.

Here is a message for RTE.

RTE - the launch date was 23rd May 2011. Remember, Pat Rabitte cut the ribbon at Montrose. ASO is when you turn the old one off, not when you turn the new one on.
By the way, RTE, you have been broadcasting DVB - T Mpeg 4 since early August 2008. Maybe your executives do not know that, but should. Keep up there at the back of the class.
