Knocking from MINI when accelerating and braking

Hi I have a 2007 MINI cooper S. The car has developed a knocking when accelerating or braking. It can only be heard at speeds below about 50kph. It also happens when going over bumps.
It doesn’t happen all of the time but has got more noticeable lately.
The noise is coming from the front left.

Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking maybe engine mount or anti roll bar bushings??

    Bushings.

It could be a number of things, bushings or drop link etc. Best bet is drive the car up on ramps, if you have some, lie under the car and have someone push the car down on that side.

Could be an engine mount at the gearbox too. check that out.
