Fabric prints

I was recently wondering about how to go about getting a design printed onto fabric in Ireland. Reason being is that I sometimes think that kids clothes here can be a bit boring and I would love to design a print for kids clothes.

Does anyone know anything about the process? Obviously it would be great to keep business local, but I guess Ireland probably can't compete with the primarks and Indian and Chinese markets.

You can buy t shirt transfers in easons and craft shops or cheaper on ebay. That way you can design and make your own t shirts. You print whatever image you want onto the transfer and iron it onto the fabric.

    Hi there,

I just saw your thread now and I know it's a bit late but I just said I would reply anyway.
Have you ever tried screen printing? I'm a textile and print designer and I can safely say it's one of the best ways to get your idea onto fabric and the quality is great. You can get your own screens manufactured and personally print the fabric yourself or you can send them off to a place that will screen print them for you. Hallprint is a company that offers this service. They were really helpful and not only supplied me with great items, but they also gave me great advice.

    Hope this helps!
