Old Toys and Books

Hey guys

Does any body know of any where that takes in old clothes, toys and books?

I would much rather give to a place like a womens Refuge where you know the clothes etc is goin straight to people, rather then oxfam where they sell on your stuff and you dont know where the money is going!

We have a massive clear out in the attic loads we have loads of stuff for kids, with christmas coming up id love to see them go to some real use to kids who have nothing.

I rang the one in rathmines and the woman was not too nice and was very picky about what they take.. which im shocked at, as i read a thread on another site today which said they were in dire need of every thing, since most of the women arrive with nothing but the clothes on their backs

Hi illegalmidget,
we run a motorbike toy run for Bethany House women and childrens refuge here in Longford. There is a thread on it by jessicarabbit here on boards (under childrens charity) We would be grateful for anything and could arrange collection by one of our volunteers.

Or you could give it away for free on adverts.ie
If someone has a past history you can check it out and see that they dont' resell it and it will go straight to their own kids etc
