I'm in my transition year and am an avid supporter and follower of rugby, but have never played outside of school in sports class.I'm doing my Gaisce this year and thinking of playing rugby for a club to get it and continuing on till 6th year.
Do you know of any clubs that would take me?
    I'm in south dublin
    Thanks in advance.

whereabouts in south Dublin? It's a big ole place with plenty of clubs! Do you have a local club that you know of?

A lot of clubs will have social teams / J5 teams that are always looking for numbers, that would be a great place to start. There's a thread that used to be at the the top of the forum called "So, I started playing rugby" that would be a huge help.

J5 is for adults the OP is a teenager in transition year. That said most clubs through south dublin would be willing to take you in if you have a genuine interest.

Loads of clubs would be delighted to have you. I'd imagine you'd be playing u17 level, potentially even u15 level (I'm not sure what age do the transition year these days :/).

Playing for them is generally as simple as getting in touch with a coach or someone at the club. There are loads of clubs, some of which even have members on here.

The Leinster u17/19 youths league fixtures are up on leinsterrugby.ie
Some clubs in those leagues may be close enough for you to join
