    Hi everyone:)

I'm going to an 18th this weekend and the theme is 'My big fat gypsy wedding/jersey shore/traveller' type thing:confused:!? And I havn't got a clue what to wear! She really wants people to make an effort and at least try to dress up but I don't want to go and end up looking totally and utterly awful!

Any ideas on what I could wear, and where to get it!?

Any advice would be HUGELY appreciated!

    Thanks!

Not obvious enough but LOTS of tan, crazy make up and a white' wedding' dress - go to a euro shop and you'll get a tacky veil too! EASY!

There's a shop across from Iceland in the Illac centre if you're up in Dublin that specialises in that type of fashion, name's gone from my head though. You won't miss it.

Without sounding rude but isn't that kind of the point of the theme in one way?

You need Neon, lots of neon.
And tight neon. With lots of skin

Thanks everyone! She also mentioned esmeralda from that disney movie... and I'm normally not the kind of person to show up to something in a crazy eye-catching outfit which is why I'm very wary of neon!!

I'm wondering whether to go for the more 'traditional' gypsy attire (if you could call it that!?) or over-the-top neon tackyiness?

Go for the over the top neon tackiness as much as you can...! A vest top, long hair extensions, tie your hair in a pony-tail, spray on as much cheap tan as you can get, tiny shorts and nike trainers...

I'd love a themed party like that to go to.. the more ott the better! :-)
