    Hello,
I'm the owner of a new small bookie's in Ireland and I am wondering what would the average cost of an accountant be , to go over my books and prepare my tax returns?
I don't want to get screwed.

How long is a piece of string? ;)

Impossible to say, without knowing the size / volume of your business, and extent / quality of the books & records you'll be preparing in-house, and whether or not the business is incorporated / sole trader...

Gonna be between 3-5k I'd imagine based on my experience in the industry. Toward the lower end of that scale if you're in a regional town with average turnover and a good EPOS system.
