Stupid question, but if you have a blog template which is 1000px wide how big could you print it before you would see all pixels in the photo?

    Define 'see all the pixels'..

High quality photographic printing is 360 pixels per inch, so you'd get about 3 inches across with that. You could go to 180 without much issue though, so 6 inches. It'd depend on what exactly was in your content though. If it's photographs, what their quality is, etc. Best bet is to run some test prints :)

    depends on the image

but you would be suprised how well an image like that would look at 6*4 or even 9*6

I am actually not sure what the exact size the template is. Only info I have is that its a blog template that is 1000px wide. I am going to ask the person again, how many pixels it is per inch and then hopefully I will be able to figure out how big it can be printed.

actually the pixels per inch in the file doesnt matter depending on where its printed

as its about how many pixels there are in total for most software

some consumer labs etc will work out the size based on the pixels per inch, but at home or a pro lab would do it based on the number of pixels

consumer labs, and also other printers than epson actualy have a native resolution of 300 not 360 so can work out other sizes from those figures too

Maybe you should explain it better.

what are you trying to get printed and why ?

    a template ? a picture ?

Most important thing is that you have the right to reproduce whatever it is - did you or the person involved create the image/template ? if so you should consider the legal implications of reproducing it without permission...it is illegal to do so.

Its a template I want to buy, I am waiting for the vendor to get back to me about what size I can print it up, I think she designed it with the intention that it would be used on a website blog. If I do buy it, I would have the rights to print it. I am still waiting on more information off her, so I have no more information to give at the moment.
