    Hi all,

Just a brief note to introduce myself - I've been asked to take over the moderator reins in the New Zealand forum.

I'm Jim, 40 (just) and sadly have never set foot in New Zealand.

The cmods have asked me to keep an eye on things here, ensuring the forum is free of spam and that the discussion flow isn't disturbed by anything. Having read back through most of the threads, I don't see myself being too busy as a mod, but I'm going to do my best to take part in the discussions and become a proper participant in the forum.

With that in mind, i'd be happy to hear from anyone who has any suggestions that might improve the forum - simply post them here or PM me.

If you see something on the forum that you're not happy with, please report the post and I'll take a look as soon as I possibly can.

Welcome TrueDub to New Zealand! A beautiful land that is on the top of my list to visit someday.

Gorgeous photos - is it just me or does it look like a sunny version of Wicklow?

Kia ora, TrueDub, great to have you here.

Your interest in cricket should help you make sure that no underarm bowling occurs!

    :)

I didn't actually mean the same landscape, just that the greenery and general flow reminded me of Wicklow! :D

Funny, when I'm cycling around Wicklow I always thought brown /grey was the predominant view, all the bare mountains and low brown/ yellow plants.

Not in a bad way mind, but never saw it as overwhelmingly green at all, whereas here it really really is green.
