If anyone has even a passing interest in bushcraft then Paul Kirtley produces an excellent blog that would have many crossovers in survivalism etc.

You can sign up for email alerts for when the new blog topics are online. Very useful and a highly regarded guy in the UK bushcraft community.

Here's the currently blog on how to use a Millbank bag properly.

Thanks Tabnabs, where could one of these be purchased, also could you recommend a traditional shop in Irelaand for purchasing survival gear. My nearest army surplus store is Boyle co Roscommon (afaik) but very small selection of stuff.

Millbank bags are easiest to acquire from ebay. Watch a few to conclusion before buying as they can sell for silly money if you've not careful.

Irish bricks and mortar surplus shops are either poor quality, high price or the good ones are hours away. I usually end up buying from either the UK or the US. Holland and Germany is another great source, but postage is ridiculous and often cheaper to get from the States

My two favourites are http://www.endicotts.co.uk/ and http://stores.ebay.co.uk/THE-BUSHCRAFT-STORE

(No connection, satisfied customer etc. ;) )
