Simple and only you can answer. Do you want new wheels or use your own for the winter?

I wouldn't put crap wheels on the car though tbh. But then again it saves potential damage to your own.

As far as I know the tires are a copy of a very good winter tyre.

I see it as being very handy to have them on other alloys so I can change them myself whenever I want as my tires are quite good on the car at the moment.

The alloys are quite nice on my car in my opinion and it would save damage to them too.

A copy of a very good winter tyre? Im thinking winter ditchfinder.

Get the best you can, or else steel rims for the winter. That's what I've ordered anyway.

Did you look at the ones on Ebay?

I might be better off getting the new tyres fitted onto my current alloys if I cant find any reviews of the ones on Ebay.

I'd just prefer tyres there are reviews of so that I can make a decision based on those. I've ordered 4 steel wheels for my car. Going to get tyres fitted to them then.

Has anybody looked at getting the tyre & wheel package from BMW?

I was told you cant take off current summer run flats and put winter ones one to my current alloys.

Also BMW said I cant have the 16 steel wheel as min I need is 17 and that would be 2,000!!!

Look up the bolt pattern on the car to see if the wheels from another car will fit it, then maby check out a scrap yard to see if they would have any that would fit, might manage to find some steelies for very little if your lucky

How do I find out the bolt pattern?

So I defo cant use my own alloys and just take the summers off?

Personally, I'd get second hand wheels from a scrappy or adverts/donedeal and put original winters on. Also see camskill.co.uk for tyres, they are a bit cheaper.

I'd avoid the eBay ones as you have no idea of their standard, compliance or quality. The ad also make a great deal that of what they are based on - as if this is an indication of how good they actually are.

I dont see why you couldnt use your own alloys really. But if you google 'bolt pattern bmw model of car', you should be able to find it! It worked for me when I was getting alloys before.
Just do a little research on fitting different rims to the car.
Sorry I cant be of much help, Im on the mobile as the internet is down..

Be careful on judging wheels based on bolt pattern alone. Offset and the shouldering of the nuts to the wheels are factors also. I'd only advise getting wheels specific to your model of car.
