Has anyone any experience with using dry stone cladding on the outside of their house. I have seen it used inside on fireplaces and it looks well and ive seen it used on teh outside as well but ive heard conflicting comments about it. Some say it holds up well but others have said after about 5 years it starts to lose its colour and after 10 years then youll be best to take it all down and re-do it all.

My sister is thinking of doing the whole outside of her house in it but ive told her just to hold of just for now untill i get more info on it. I work in construction and have been all over the county working and have noticed a few building that look like theyve been done in this and are all faded. I'd hate her to errect this on her house and it to fade in years to come.

Ive been told that you can seal it with some soprt of clear sealer but also been told that it isnt that great of a sealer and it still fades after all them years.

Any info on this would be great.

Are you talking about a man made product or cladding with stone?.
