Stock Tube Lipo Recommendation

Making the change over to lipo batteries and was wondering what would be the best 7.4v to fit in a stock tube. Was looking at Turnigy batteries but they have none for stock tubes for what i can see on hobby king

but it is longer than most stock tube LiPos but I prefer the stock near maximum extension so it suits me, there are other similar 7.4s listed

What difference does the number of cells make? A 7.4v 2000mAh 2cell vs a 3 cell of the same?

you can not get a 3 cell 7.4v lipo , single lipo cells are around 3.7v each, so if it is a 7.4 it will always be 2 cells

2 cells x 3.7 = 7.4v
3 cells x 3.7 = 11.1v

IMO 15c is a bit meh, does'nt really cut it. 25c+ is the way to go.

Agree with you about the 15c's. But the 20c ones I quoted earlier work a treat.
I get a very decent rate of fire and last a good half day.:)

sorry to thread jack spicymachaggis but what do the 15c,20c etc. mean?
and do i need to change over my original connectors over(I think there tamiya?)
I am interested in making the change myself

The 'c' rating is the batteries discharge rate.
To work out the max amperage you need to take the batteries amperage and times it by the c rate.
For example a 7.4v 1200mah 15c works out as 1.2 amps times 15 = 18 amps output (max).

So the higher the c rating the more punch your battery has.

Some of the stock tube lipos can be ordered with the specific plug you need.
Check out ehobbyasia, WGC, UNcompany, etc.

All the info is as I understand it, I welcome corrections if I am mistaken:)

Not at all. These 2 below are the ones I use in both my Vltor VIS and my Systema Revolution Vltor CASV. Definitely not too much power. The only comment I would make is that the battery may not last a full days shoot depending on how itchy a trigger finger you have;-)
I always carry a spare battery.

I use bigger c rated and mah rated lipos in my other AEGs with out problems.
