Why does the photo get sent to my own email when I clearly pick out a contact to send it to?

Ive obviousely got some settings wrong, but cant find it anywhere:confused:

Does it only happen when you mail a photo, or any time you send an email?

Open Settings > Mail, Contacts and Calendars and make sure that Always BCC Myself is off.

you may have bcc (blind carbon copy) set to on, does it happen with all emails or just photos?

    check and make sure:

    settings>mail,contacts,calanders>always bcc myself> off

*edit* aidan beat me to it...

I had checked that in settings, and it was and still is off.

This only happens when emailing a photo.

    :DThanks @120-mins!!

But guess I was way ahead both of ye on that one! Im still searching for answers and am going to send a test email to another email account to make sure that it's definately only happening in photo emailing......

    UPDATE -

An email sent from my phone now gets sent to my gmail email adress as well, yet bcc and cc are switched off, and not even filled in in the header field.

Also noticed that when I delete emails in Gmail on iPhone, that they are deleted from my Gmail account on my laptop, yet I've just read that theyre not supposed to be synced together?

Google sync? I had it, I've since deleted it, but its not in a place that obviously calls itself google sync. It hides out in mail settings somwhere.

I can only find the post about setting it up - maybe do it in reverse?
