I've just got myself an old allegro road bike frame. Needs a good bit of restoration which I'm planning on doing myself. I'm just wondering though if allegro is a good brand or what? Not big up on older bikes so any info on allegro at all would help.
    Thanks.

They're swiss, not shite generally and I don't think they exist anymore (could be wrong), that's pretty much all I know about them. Are there any stickers on the frame indicating what type of steel tubing it's made from? Also the components will tell you the quality of the bike.

Where'd you get it? And what you going to do with it?

There's only two decals on the bike, one saying Allegro and another saying Allegro England, not much else to go by for info. Thanks for the help anyways.

My dads mate came across it and knew I was looking for an old road bike so it worked out handy for me. Well I plan on refurbishing it and then use it myself from there on if all goes well.
