Anyone ever used an interview coach?

I have had about 10 interviews in the last 3 months and haven't been offered any position. I know competition is tough but I am afraid that I may be doing / saying something that could potentially put interviewers off. At this stage I want the advice of a professional so that I don't miss out on any opportunities.

Has anyone ever used an interview coach before or have any recommendations in Dublin?

    Thanks

No I've never used an interview coach but did have a job coach but didn't find them very useful. Met another careers coach and found them a way better with regarding CV advice.

Its possible not giving enough information or missing the point of one question or answering one question badly could put them off! That is how competition has got so fierce.

Same thing happened to me fell down on one question and I was out ruled straight away despite being so sure I get the job! It was a let down I thought my God this actually happened and the interview went well for me I was so certain I get the job. The feedback was positive despite that. They said I did a good interview overall. It makes me wonder like.

I suppose the more interviews you do the closer you get to getting a job someone is bount to say yes!? It cannot possibly be all no's!?

The best thing you could do is email or ring recruiters that interviewed you so you could get feedback on how you did in interviews. I usually ask for feedback and its a good way to find out what you could do to improve on in interviews.

I don't know of any interview coaches to be honest but I am sure they are career coaches in Dublin that could be an interview coach for you? They could point out things to you that you might be missing out on.

    Good luck with your search.

What area of work are you involved in Tieko, first job or looking to switch jobs.

I used one years ago to prepare for an Air Corps interview and it helped me quite a bit. They videotaped me in a mock interview and then went over any weak points that I had.I came 3rd out of 25 in the interview stage for the Air Corps but I ended up failing the medical because of a bad knee.

Think the place I used was called Carr Communications, not sure if they're still in business these days though.

Hi Starviewadams, thanks for the info, will give them a look up.

Cute Hoor I work in marketing. I have 3 years experience working internationally. I had another interview today and they asked me back for a second one at the end of it, so maybe I am not as bad as I thought.
