Going for Aiken (33/1) in Portugal plus Gagli for round 1 leader. Have to stick with him having cashed in place money last week.

Looks like the McGladrey is a straight hitter / good putters course so liking the looks of Mark Wilson at 50/1

Willy McGirt is bang in form and is 150/1 ie def worth a couple e/w

I'm going with Levin @40/1 in the u.s(will hopefully bring his putter this week)and Colsaerts 28/1 in Portugal,2 e/w singles and an e/w double (6 places)

Looking at last years leaderboard it looks like straight hitters and GIR are important. So my picks this week are

    1) - John Rollins 66/1

Rollins finished T6th last week at the Fry's shooting 65 & 67 on the weekend so is in good form. He also finished second in the Travellers during the year (which is a Par 70 course). Rollins finished T12th hear last year. He is 2nd in total driving stats for the season and he's 14th in greens in regulation.

    2) Bud Cauley 40/1.

I have to go for Cauley again after last week.

    3) Scott Piercy 80/1

Piercy is playing very well over the last couple of months. I think 80/1 is just too big. He also finished 25th here last year.

    Portugal -

    Thomas Aiken @ 33/1 E/W

    US -

    Webb Simpson @ 14/1
    Rickie Fowler @ 18/1
    Spencer Levin @ 40/1 E/W

Not like me to have 2 very short odd picks but here we are. Have to back Simpson as ever.

Harrington a score each way, course suits long hitters and there is plenty of room off the tee.I made some money laying Pod but now i think he might be ready to win again.I will be there to cheer him on and will be enjoying a few beers with the large irish contingent that normally hang out in Vilamoura.

McGladrey - has to be Z Johnson for me. Lives nearby, hits it straight, putts well. A lot going for him this week.

Portugal: A Noren and F Andersson-Hed. Both good putters capable of going very low. [M Kaymer has predicted a birdie-fest today]

Also, B Rumford top Australian @4/1 (PP). Form on an upward curve, doesn't look like he has too much to beat.

Wished you told me that before I started watching (18th hole in regulation) :pac:

Saying on Twitter last night I had an uneasy feeling about the playoff, and I'm more often right than wrong with it comes with playoff predictions. Oh well. Can't be too angry with him after the amount of money he has won me this year :s

Got back today had a great time, saw a good bit of Lewis and he has a very bright future. However from a betting angle a lot of contenders failed to deliver in the last 9 holes and there is no doubt things fell right for him in his fairytale victory.Ironically Colin Byrne, his caddy who normally holds court in the 19th bar in the marino did not put in an appearance this year, maybe he was looking after his his young pro.Harrington once again showed he is an enigma. If he done what was expected on the par 5s and didnt yip his way around the slower than normal greens he would have won.His putts on 17when he missed from a couple of feet and on the last ,where he stubbed the ground when missing another short one following the best 2nd shot seen all day were an indication that a visit to Dave Peltz is surely in the offing. It was a great venue and the free lessons on offer between the driving range and the 10th was a nice touch.I AVAILED OF ONE MYSELF and the ball and chain is expecting at least one turkey this year. The pros giving the lesson took a video of the coaching and sent it to our laptops totally free. Those that run tournaments in ireland should take note.
