Stand Alone Gas Heater

Afternoon guys, quick question for you all if you don't mind.

I keep a few pet birds in a big cage out in my shed. The shed isnt wired for electricity and with winter approaching I was looking for some advice as to getting a stand alone gas heater that I can put on for them for a few hours during the coldest nights of winter. Im basically looking for a few options as to where to buy such a heater and also how many hours you would typically get out of a standard gas cylinder and how much the cylinder would be to replace. Also do any of these heaters have a timer function so I dont have to go out to the shed and manually turn the heater on/off? Also I presume I will need to install a vent for emissions and also erect a carbon monoxide detector? Any advice would be much appreciated. Final question - is gas the best option here or are there other alternatives such as oil heaters that might be more suitable? Thanks.
