Sam & Evan - From Girls To Men

17-year-old Sam and 20-year-old Evan are a gay male couple - but underneath their clothes they have female bodies. What makes this story so exceptional is that they are both in the process of changing their bodies from female to male, at the same time. This film follows their gender journey and the prejudice they encounter along the way - including the humiliation and fear they suffer of having eggs thrown at them as they walk to the bus stop. The documentary tells the story of how Sam and Evan met, fell in love and embarked on a remarkable transgender journey together to transform their bodies from Girls to Men

This was broadcast last night on BBC THREE, did anyone watch it? I missed it but will watch it on BBC iPlayer, (LINK for those who want to watch - may need proxy).

I'd imagine it'll be up on youtube at some point.

I didn't see it, but surely both undergoing hormones etc at the same time would be quite challenging, simply from a hormonal point of view? That's a lot of extra testosterone to deal with, even for one person transitioning, never mind two...

i skyplussed this. and i ended up watching the whole lot of it as it was skyplussed

sam was taking hormones and evan wasn't as he had to live as a man for a year first.
very unlikey couple - i never would have put them together!
they were living with evan's mam in a rough council estate. lol and sam was so posh - bless his little cotton socks.
so evan had been transitioning in the same area where the neighbourhood knew him as a girl. the neighbours were dirtbirds who would throw eggs at anybody who was different ie black, posh, gay, fat, spotty etc.

Do you know how I know? Okay it's complicated but I'll try not to be overly technical. Go to the so-called "Google search bar" and type these "key words": "sam and evan bbc three". This will lead you to what we call a "webpage", if you tilt your head slightly to the right and look with your "eyes", then you will see the words "NEXT ON", underneath it will tell you the next time it will be on. It is difficult but keep re-reading the instructions and you will get it.

PS, this is unfortunately's brain. Please ignore the previous paragraph as he was trying to be a smartarse. I do apologise.

    Here's the page =)
