Average time PIAB deals with claims

Hello,
I'm wondering does anyone have any idea how long PIAB are taking to process claims?
I know they have 9 months to respond but are they getting through them any quicker?

In our Review of 2010 we provide details of the time it takes to process a claim once consent has been received.

The average time is just under 7 months.

Does a person still get sent to a doctor if they have fully recovered from their injuries?
