So quinn, fbd and Aviva have given me 2 quotes within €40 of each other which one would have the best customer service rep?

Quinn has highest excess at €300
    Aviva lowest at €125
Fbd is in the middle at €200

otherwise the policies seem the same
All fully comp, windscreen, breadown etc etc etc, slight variances in personal injury amounts etc .

Any body have a opinion on whos best customer service wise?
Im currently with quinn and they are ok customer service wise , any time i rang they were quick to talk to me etc .

Been with FBD for years now, fully comp on both cars. Have to say the times I have needed them they worked very well. Staying with them for the foreseeable if the quotes are not too high.

AFAIK the standard Aviva excess is €250 - you're paying extra to have that reduced to €125. Aviva CS is good if you manage to have the India-based call centres transfer you to a local branch, otherwise it's pretty poor. I'd probably prefer FBDs customer service, but they no longer offer fully protected bonus, which rules them out for me.

Well,I used to pay FBD thousands of €'s perannum with property, business, jeeps, trailers etc, and they just keep raising their premiums year after year, with no claims ever been lodged. Needless to say, I pulled all my business from then.
FBD are a joke when it comes to claims too, that was my experience when some dickhead hit one of my vehicles and he was insured by fbd. They farm it out to some crowd who are a mess.

If you get the chance call in to each of the offices of the insurers above. Face to face negotiation saved me €50 on a couple of occasions.

If someone in the family is learning or about to learn to drive then the Aviva Driving School is pretty good

I have been with Aviva for the last four years. The customer service in their local office has always been great but their 1890 number is almost useless even for the most simple of questions. Also worth noting they didn't charge when I needed to transfer my insurance to another car for a day or two.

Other than getting quotes from them I have no experience with the other two.

I find Aviva good. Get the names of people in your local branch so that when you ring the 1890 you can say you're looking for them and will speak ONLY to them. That avoids the long drawn out "how do you spell that" and "can you say again please" crap. If in doubt there's likely to be a Mary in most Aviva offices.

NO "no claims bonus protection" as i have previously only named driver experience

And your right about paying extra to lower the excess its only €20 extra but lowers the excess by 125
