Not too many FR crew on here. I assume the tests and the practical will cover everything you do (safety/fire/decomp/evac drill/first aid) during the training course.

You'll do tests every week, after you complete a topic. Your initial exam is after about 3 weeks, pass mark 85%, if you fail first time, you can re-do a different exam, not many pass the second time. Your conversion is at the end of your course, pass mark 90%. Topics are first aid/decompression/dangerous goods/security/fire/, there's endless drills to learn and then you have 1 day of customer and sales training after your conversion.

If you're doing the course in Rush, Dalmac will arrange host housing for you at you own expense.

Also before your initial, you'll have your survival training, was out in Sportslink in Santry when I did it, after you pass the initial, you'll head to Stansted to do the cabin training.

Initial and conversion exams cover all the topics, there's usually a few pages of multiple choice, then pages of drills that have to be written out word for word.

yep and yep, still there for my sins:p as for new crew, the last couple of training courses that have been done, a lot of the crew came to DUB, there's been a lot of people leaving recently for various reasons. it all depends where crew are needed, they asked crew to transfer to the canary island bases for the Christmas period. so i guess it all depends on your luck if you get DUB or not!!
