Has anyone got any information about this product,i.e is it of good quality or worth the money ?

    TOOOOOOOOO expensive.

Are you in an apartment ? What box do you have ?

Get a grouped aerial - they are about €20.

If you are in dublin you will get away with an indoor aerial - a lot of them power off the 5v antenna power on the box. I use a Funke, signal is rocksolid in Wexford and Dublin.

It is only of use in high signal areas. A bit like my coathanger aerial, but a lot more expensive.

There are plenty of places in Dublin where an indoor aerial doesn't work, I live in one of them. Even an indoor Maplins UHF aerial approved by Watty picks up almost nothing.

The OP on this thread in D8 couldn't get a signal from an indoor aerial either...

OP, please tell us roughly where you live and the best indicator of what type of aerial will work for you is to look at what your neighbours are doing i.e. see what they have mounted on their chimneys.

Rathdrum Co.Wicklow.I was thinking of using it to install saorview in my parents house.

With all due respect, I have tested close on 20 indoor aerials as part of dvb-t tests in Ireland.

Only 2 worked to an acceptable rock solid level. The one I suggested above is the best (by far) that I tested. It has active filters, does not require an independent power supply, it powers off the 5v out on the aerial output on the back of a STB. From recollection they are +18db.

Its not a cheapo Argos clock radio volume adjustable type.

I use it in Wexford (rather than my yagi!). I also tested it in Dublin.

Within range of main TXs indoors will work fine. Small infills not so much. They require a outdoor Grouped aerial. These are not expensive. Might be a bit of DIY but thats it.

I live outside Rathdrum and hooked up the saorview box and plugged it into my normal outdoor ariel on the roof . Works a treat

You have me stumped. I never knew there was a transmitter in Laragh... I would hazard a guess Kippure. Theres a local man who does ariels sky dishes free view boxes . He d be able to guide you.

Have you purchased a soarview box and cant get a signal?

Just curious - what's inside the digidome?
Is it a uhf version of a halo, or a crossed dipole?
And can it be set for vertical/horizontal?

Laragh is 47 and Kippure 54.
Tried unsuccessfully to receive saorview with an indoor aerial with built in booster and Laurus box.

    where sells Funke indoor aerials?

i am in an apartment in Dun Laoghaire. We have a shared roof aerial, signal is 70-80%, so not getting a picture. The aerial probably needs to be realigned better with 3 rock, but not an option to go on the roof messing with the aerial

considering the Digidome, as i could mount it outside a window without anybody noticing. We are on the 2nd floor

bought one of these indoor aerials

    http://cpcireland.farnell.com/antiference/sensor/silver-sensor-set-top-silver-sensor/dp/AFSENSOR

getting 85% strength from it. not enough for picture

reluctant to bother with the digidome if sam russell reckons its not much better than a coat hanger

Your problem is not the aerial. If you're not getting picture and only sound your TV is not compatible - http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056302397

yeah i was wondering was there a problem with the box. i've got a Mvision HD200 Combo. It used to get dtt through the roof aerial when i got it first, that was over 2 years ago. then a storm bumped the aerial and i stopped using it for terrestrial

M-vision combo is fine for DTT.

Delete the channel on the DVB-T tuner and rescan. Your problem isnt related to the aerial. Have you installed unofficial software that has inadvertently thrown the dvb-t tuner out I wonder.
