I dont ever endorse anything from JML as alot of their stuff doesnt work, but their new magic eraser pad does the job on kitchen hobs.

I tried it out recently, and it made a horroble old gas hob look like new again and it removed alot of burnt on crud and spilt and dried in milk off the gas hob.

Its around 5-6 euro in most DIY stores.
