I dont know if this is the right section to post but, it seemed revelant so..

I want to move out with my 2 sisters. I'm 18, my sister is turning 20, and the other one is 9. There's a chance my dad might be moving out of the country for work. I'd be (or my sister would be) responsible for my little sister, and we'd be her guardian.

I'm currently not in a course, due to financial problems, but hopefully by next year i'll be doing my course. My sister is doing a course and is a full time student.

I'd like to know if we moved out, there would be anything we could apply for to support us? I know I can apply for Jobseeker's Allowance but that's very limited. Is there anything in social welfare or rent allowance that will help me? I've been looking online quite a bit, and I found the websites, but it's all pretty confusing.

    Thanks in advance.

In order to get Rent Allowance you need to be in private rented for 6 months or be deemed to have a housing need by the local authority, so I would speak to them first given that you havent been in private rented for 6 months
