Hi we are going to Chicago for 6 days soon and i'm particularly interested in buying sports clothes for my children (Addidas, nike etc) and also a ipad touch for myself.

Would anyone know where would be the best place to get good deals for either in Chicago. We are staying in Magnificant mile area:D.

    Thanks!

Spent the summer in chicago and went into town shopping a fair bit. For the ipad just head to bestbuy theres one just at the hancock its $500 which is the pretty standard price over there at present just like €500 is here. I rarely buy sportswear but from the little browsing I did in some of the shops it seemed to be the same price or just marginally cheaper. Theres niketown on michigan which is a rip off for some things and cheaper than here for other things such as under armour stuff. Head south of the river to state street where the better of the two macys is located, theres an adidas and puma store just opposite. Theres an outlet place in gurnee near six flags theme park which is supposed to be good but a hell of a trek out. Top tip- do the architecture foundation river cruise!

Take the Union pacific north from downtown out to gurnee mills outlet.. About 6 dollars each way..

Went out there and needed a suitcase with the amount of stuff i bought!!
