Are they reliable? Just seen so many threads and horror stories about them.

Ordered some PC parts, I have the Fast Delivery option 4-5 days, ordered on the 7th Oct, paid by Laser.

Just wondering if they are better than using Komplett/Elara. Or are they as good? Since I've bought many things off Komplett and Elara before.

I have used them (pixmania) a few times and everything went as planned, I have no idea what they would be like for returns though.
I think elara are based here in Ireland, whether that is of relevance to you i don't know

    Their returns procedure sucks!
Paid 22e to send a faulty video card to France to get it sorted, received an email from them saying that if its not repaired within 21 days they will send a new one.
Needless to say the 21 days went by and I heard nothing so have been fighting with them last few days asking them to send me a new card but their customer service people dont give a flying feck! Keep sending me pointless emails saying very little or that we will reply withing 24-48 hrs, which they dont!

I'm only buying non electrical parts from overseas. Everything else you should get from an Irish site. Elara, Komplett, etc

Ordered 2 Cheap Android Tablets for the kids for Christmas and when they turned them on Christmas day they where not working, can't update them or install any software.

Contact Pixmania and they don't want to know. Told me I have to send them directly to the manufacturer.

We have your money now **** off.

jetpack101, my understanding is that the consumer law obliges Pixmania to deal with this. Your contract is with them. It might be an idea to contact the Citizens INformation (http://www.citizensinformation.ie ) or National Consumer Agency (http://www.nca.ie/nca/faultygoods).

I have bought something for them for my husband which was not fit for purpose. As with many others on this forum (see previous thread on issues with returns and Pixmania) they have tried to fob me off by saying I have to deal directly with the supplier. I'll send them a formal letter and ultimatum shortly and if I dont get a satisfactory response I'll go through the smalls claim court.

good luck with getting the Android Tablets sorted - that was a disappointment. Cheap or not they should work.

I contacted consumers affears and they put me on to euro affears. I then emailed Pixmania again and told them I was taking it to the small clams court. They then agreed to take them back. It cost me €40 to return them.

I was then contacted by euro affears today and they told me they MUST refund the shipping charge. They even sent me the wording to send them about it. If they don't refund the shipping then they will take over the case to get the money back.

Just have to wait and see what happens from here on in. Might take a bit of time but they told me it will get sorted.

I will say, they have quite a number of complaints about Pixmania.
