Not sure of the full details yet, but a 27 year old was recovered from the Lee yesterday - appears he was fishing with a friend and slipped in.

Praying its nobody from this forum, but thoughts go out to his family.

The second tragedy in the city centre in a matter of days.

    May he rest in peace.

Is this happening more regularly lately or is it just me. It seems an awful lot of people are dying while fishing, its terrible. Are people not wearing life aids do ye think or is it where people bang their heads when they slip?

The Lee is so tidal it would take a strong swimmer in any event, let alone one togged out in fishing gear.
