    Maybe now he'll be declared bankrupt and be removed from the Dail - not a moment too soon either, he's made a mockery of it.

    Yes of course he does, we pay our politicians to work and when they cease work we (the taxpayer) pay them even more, it all written in the 'legislation', go figure!

    No problem with the guy. You get the quality of politicians you deserve. I'm sure he'll be replaced by someone of equal ability or a local gaa star or a former TDs son :)

    I think he was a property developer and his losses happened because of the collapse.

    I thought he was in NAMA but I am not sure.

    In March 2011, the Sunday Business Post reported that he owed €40m to the banks including ACC Bank. He said he didn’t expect to go to NAMA because his loans from AIB were below €20m and the incoming government wanted to keep those smaller loans in the banks themselves. Mick’s tale seems all too familiar, with his property assets dropping 75% from €80m in the boom to €20m today.

    ya have to be there for a few years, he's not even there 1 year, let alone the required amount. (5 years i think)
