    Hi there

I found and used the Fairfayre website to order food. They supply restaurants and retailers, but also sell to the general public. While the quantities are large, you can come up together with some friends and share the quantities. I bought a 2kg piece of parmesan for around 20 euros, we have been feasting on it all week. Also great for rice, pasta, non perishable goods like chocolate, etc...
Their pastry range has quantities too big for one household, but if you are planing a special event, or a gathering at Christmas, it could help (for eg 70 tartlet cases)

Everything I bought was great and they delivered within 2 days. They are based in NI but their website displays prices in Euros

And before anyone asks, I'm not acquainted to them, I only found them great, with an excellent customer service, so want to share with everyone :D

the parmagiano regiano seems to be a min size of 2.4Kg at €32.50:

is this what you ordered and they sent a smaller size?

Sorry, you're right. I ordered the Grana Padano, which is delicious. Still, 32.50 for 2.4kg of Parmigiano is a bargain.

I paid 23 euros, which might look steep but I calculated that I had saved more than 70 euros on the things I bought compared to shops, or even Larousse Foods which has good offers too. For instance, a 2.5kg bag of chocolate drops (good for muffins, cookies, etc) cost around 15 euros. A small 100g bag cost 1.19 in most supermarkets. And the quality is outstanding, I've been eating the drops all week (70% cocoa from Callebaut, mmmmmh) :p

Then I sent the link to some friends and they came together for an order worth over 800 euros and paid no delivery charges (delivery is free over 250 euros, if I remember well). They bought vats of pasta, rice, chocolate, oil, etc... which they then split. I should have thought of it before, so next time I'll ask a few friends if they want to do a group order and avail of free delivery.

My only quibble is the items description is a bit vague, so unless you know the product, you need to contact the customer service for more details.

Great find, thanks, and not all stuff is in bulk, I'm drooling over the French cheese and cured meats selection, nyom nyom.

Someone should do a bulk deal with their local neighbours in the estate, then divy it all up after splitting the costs :)

€18.31 its pretty good for 6 liters of scotch :pac:
And the lemoncello for €11.17 is pretty good too.

Used finefayre with two others a few months back. The site says delivery is free over €287 - if memory serves me right it was only €180 or so when I used them. Got a load of rice, pasta, virgin olive oil, canned cherry tomatoes etc. etc. All of it was great. My personal favourites were:
    a) The 1Kg bag of peppercorns for under a fiver.
    b) The massive rolls of kitchen paper.

We go through a load of both.

I didn't take the delivery but the guy who did said the delivery truck was a bit messy - no more so than any other truck pulling up to a shop I'd say.

Anyone in Dublin ordering over 287 euro? Or around 200? I would like to order a bit there myself but less than 287.
