Just want to get some opinions really...

I had a short-term contract working for a multi-national company. The contract ended, and I haven't been able to secure a more permanent role as yet, despite making several applications to the same company as well as the usual job vacancy websites and so on. I'm also on LinkedIn, but most of my contacts are in the UK. I haven't had the opportunity to meet many Irish ones yet! :D

Do you think it worth continuing to apply for permanent roles within the same company? I was thinking I might call the HR dept direct to make an appointment to discuss possible openings, but might be whistling in the wind.

    Any and all opinions welcome!

    TIA :)

I would talk to your previous manager first as (I'm presuming) you would slot back into his/her team?
