I recently snapped the inside lever on the handle of my patio door. Does anyone know if this can be fixed or does the whole thing need to be replaced. I don't know what make or type it is but the lock / barrel says 'Mila'. I've included some pics so if anyone has any pointers I'd appreciate it.

Ok cheers, do you mean pick up the lever? Do I just remove the screws on the handle and replace it or is there more to it than that?

Does anyone else know anything about this, is it a diy job or do I need to get a locksmith in?

its pretty easy. try anyway whats the worst that can happen. you have to call a locksmith. Go down killbarrack rd towards the coast i think its just after a railway bridge you will see a car garage on the left. Mila are just in there towards the back on the left. the sales staff are pretty helpful.

Some_randomer how did you get on? I've snapped them off both my patio doors as of this morning so I need to climb over my side gate or use a screw driver to get to my back garden!! Did you get replacements from Mila or B&Q...did you replace them yourself? They seem pretty flimsy

I bought them on eBay. I had one broken, replaced that easily. Went to change the other one as paint had peeled - couldn't get it off so left it.

In theory they're very simple to replace once you get them off.

I ended up putting the one from the outside on the inside as a temporary fix. Far from ideal as it means you're effectively locked out if the inside lever is down and you're outside, but it does the job for now
