    Windows 7 Pro 32-bit, 64-bit, Service Pack 1 32 bit, Service Pack 1 64 bit?

    Any advice would be great!

    Thanks

Win 7 pro 32-bit is much better unless you have killer hardware. Which you don't, I can tell from here.

And yes, you should install service pack 1 (I re-interpreted your question so that it made sense).

Either of the SP1 installs will do fine. Unless you have over 4GB RAM where the 64 bit edition is a necessity. 32 bit operating systems can't address over 4GB of RAM.

    64 bit.

If you have Pro install Pro. If you're deciding on versions (Starter, Home, Pro, Ultimate) It really comes down to what you do. Home Premium is reccomended largely, Pro is good if you work with business/other sensitive data or work in two or more locations/wifi hotspots frequently and have to access printers etc. on either network. Ultimate combines all of that and gives you multilingual support and full drive encryption (but pro will still do selective file and folder encryption)
