I thought I had my calculations ok for my radiator requirements, but I checked a few online calculators, using one room as comparison and some are giving me 50% less required KW..
can someone recommend a calcuator that they've used and turned out right in practice.?

is this for new or existing home? what type of radiators/ heating system? have calculated the kwh/m2/y of your heating requirements or are you just doing this from Floor area?

yeah it's a new build , basic hydronic system.
I did the calcs based on room volume, room by room

then a mutiplyer , 5 for dining rooms
    4 for bedrooms etc..

    factoring in direction of room,(north/South)
    and deducting for double glazing

e.g for a south facing bedroom, I have 2080cubic foot

and I'm getting a required figure of approx 2.4KW
I tried a few other calcualtors and I get half the required KW..It's a big difference... ??
    any help appreciated

A good one is www.centralheating.co.uk but you will have to pay for it.

Just wondering what did you decide to do in the end. did you go with the larger or smaller BTU calculation and either way how did that work out for you?
    many thanks
