Over The Air Updates

    Today I noticed that when I make a call that the name and picture of who I'm calling is on the top of the screen, which is different to before.

    Anyone else have this new feature?

    I heard Apple talking about over the air updates before in June when iOS 5 was announced and a couple of days later I was able the iOS changed and had a 'Purchased' tab in iStore updates which was handy.

    Will the update to iOS5 be the last one that requires a full download and iTunes?

    That's the idea, they are trying to incorporate the best bit of android into iOS. OTA updates, new notifications system. The app store is effectively a modified webpage, that's how they changed it without a software update.
    The thing with the pictures in calls, that's the way it has always been. Possible just Facebook linked all ur friends profiles into the contacts

    No I took the pictures and I always had pictures when I received or made a call but they have moved to top of screen when I get a call.

    Definitely nothing to do with facebook.

    OTA updates will not be done until iOS 5 is out. iOS 5 will be the last full update they'll do then it will be delta OTA updates.


    The app store "purchased" tab was built into a previous update like 4.3.2 for example and controlled by a variable which apple then turned on and everyone could see the "purchased" tab.
