I'm not a rugby fan, more a sports fan, but just asking Rugby fans.

Is this a good world cup ?

Not troling just want honest views.

I've been a bit annoyed with the silly music, bad games, poor atmosphere.

Just watching Aus - SA for second time , is this what the Rugby World Cup is about ?

Upto the knockout stages I thought it was pretty good. It hasn't helped that Ire are out. However I think the wind and rain in NZ would always make it difficult for this to be a great world cup to watch. Not a huge amount of new players have broken through either especially in the backlines. Again I think the weather has had a big affect.

Yes , I think Ireland out is making me look at it with a downer , but the only games I enjoyed was Arg -Scotland , Wales - Sa, Fra - Eng. But It was so hyped being in NZ etc. I think the times the games are on have me in a moan too. But look I never played the game and as a neutral would take Olympics , Football World Cup, Ryder Cup, any golf Major, Wimbledon, Any AI final, Tour de France, even the 6 Nations.

Like a good game of Rugby , but let down here. Last world cup was way better. Unless the Semis and Final are classics.

I think the games could have been played a little bit later in NZ. Would it have been impossible for the 2nd game to have started at 10pm in NZ?? It would have meant games in Europe at 8am and then 10am...it would have been more attractive but maybe it wouldn't have been a runner in NZ. I know people say TV shouldn't dictate the schedule but that's the way the game is now.

10pm would be a ridiculous time to start a game.

Had a think about that and you are correct on time , but.

Operationally would have been hard to ask all involved to work till midnight , also people travelling home on public transport etc.

But there was no reason for 6am in europe.

Many games in Europe start at 9pm. Maybe it is too late but even if the second game started at 9 it would make a difference. Funnily enough the semi-finals will start at 9.

Good point, this proves poor organisation in quarters.

Wonder how many Irish got up to watch Aus - RSA this morning.

One thing I've noticed is Ireland, SA and England all won their pools and all got put out in the 1/4s whereas Aus, Wales, and France all lost at least one match each and have progressed, this means Ireland, SA, England Aus Wales and France have all won the same number of matchs (up to this point)

Think 2015 will be better and I do think Ireland going out has put a downer on the tournament, only because we beat Aus and therefore had great support from fans alike, the same can not be said for Wales.

The only thing I've not liked is the early starts and that ****e music in ITV. And as Wales are still in it... It's still interesting...

I'm kind of laughing at myself - glued to world cup . Ireland out, it is crap.

Semi-finals looking really tasty, I'm confident both will be crackers.

    Ireland's exit is casting a long,dreary shadow...
Whilst acknowlegding the need for rugby to expand its horizons popularity-wise,there is much too big a gap in quality between the top8 ranked teams and the rest, resulting in an unnecessarily long&turgid tournament that is replete with monotonously one-sided games.

That crappy music that comes on right up to kick off time and every time a player is injured is truely headwrecking and totally needles. If the southern nations get their way then rugby will end up like some cheap sideshow.

Obviously getting knocked out will make anything look bad. So far I enjoyed what I've woken up for. You had the suprise win for Ireland against Australia. You had Tonga beating France (so far semi-finalists).

The early starts are annoying but that's only a minor factor as all round I enjoyed the World Cup even more than 2007.

kiwis like to get to bed early , especially in farming country where rugby is even more important

Great suspense in the quarters, even if the quality wasn't the best all the time (SA butchering how many chances?!!)

I'd have loved to see some of the close results like Scot-Eng go the way of the underdogs to mix it up a bit, but you can't have everything.

Really, really looking forward to Wales-France in particular, should be a bloody great game of rugby.
