Deleting FB and GMail applications from Android phone?

I hope I've posted this in the correct forum - apologies if not and feel free to move!

My son has a Vodafone Android mobile phone. While we were away one weekend, I logged onto my Facebook and my GMail - and once logged on couldn't figure how to log out!

In the meantime, his contacts list is full of my FB friend's phone numbers and he keeps getting notifications of new messages on GMail and FB! It's driving us demented, as I only want his parents and other emergency numbers only on it.

Can anybody advise me how to remove them from his phone, please?

    To remove your gmail account:
    - Go to settings
    - Accounts & sync
    - Under "Manage accounts", tap the Google account for your gmail address, and then "Remove Account".

    To uninstall Facebook:
    - Go to settings
    - Applications
    - Manage Applications
    - Find Facebook and Uninstall.

Sounds like you have inadvertently synced your accounts with his phone.

If you go to Settings then scroll down a bit you will find Accounts and Sync, go into that and under Account Management it will give you a list of all accounts synced to the phone. Just tap on your accounts that are there and it will show you a page with syncing options and also an option to remove the account.

That will stop the phone receiving updates and should take off all the contacts after it re-syncs with your sons google account. If not, maybe a hard reset of the phone? This will remove EVERYTHING from the phone that he has on there though.

    Hope that helps.

P.S. For future reference there is an Android forum here :)

By flashing a new rom onto it. Plenty of links on here to show you how.

Thanks,I know that. It has already got Android 2.2, has been rooted and unlocked. I'm happy with 2.2, was just wondering if there was any handy app to get rid of the bloatware. I have Swedish Spring _RLS5 on the card in the phone, but thats no better than its own 2.2.
