To All Welsh Readers...

I read a lot of threads and comments leading up to the Quarter-Final, I saw the Welsh being called arrogant for believing they could beat us, I personally wrote an epic piece about how we had all the advantages and couldn't possibly lose!!!

It seems, the Welsh were far more realistic than me and many contributors to this forum, and I would like to start a humble pie thread. They were given a hard time in the lead up to the game, and almost everything they said was right, pretty much everything we said was wrong.

To all Welsh readers.... I'm sorry for not rating your team as highly as they should have been, at no point were any of the Welsh arrogant, just realistic, you were right, I was wrong, and the performance on the day was a complete humbling of the Irish, we were flat, out of ideas and the way the Welsh played us, we were completely silenced and all of our threats nullified. The welsh even tamed our back-row.

Congratulations and best of luck in the remainder of the competition.

Well luckily I wasn't getting into the nitty gritty of arguing like some others, but I did dismiss their chances. Maybe I was just trying to fool myself with wishful thinking!

I'm the total opposite. Never place bets, never too optimistic till the whistle has blown. I'm brutal to watch a match with. Not pessimistic, just a nervous wreck

I am a Welsh fan living in Ireland all my life. Pretty much all the traits people here hate about Welsh fans, are evident in some Irish fans too. I wouldn't get worked up about it, people are always going to think their own team are going to win in a close contest.

The Welsh don't take moral victories or complain about how small there country is and don't ever talk up themselves and have always had to earn it to be respected

They always played with fire and passion and lets face it they have won more grand slams in last 6 years then we have in 100 plus.

I hope Wales win it now. Come on Wales!!!

Yes Yes Yes, common Irish mistake.

Label any country, team or person that has self belief as "Arrogant".

How dare they believe in them selves, curse them all.:D

Personally I hope France do them in the semi's. No offence Welsh people but I'd like to see a northern hemisphere win the tournament and I think France would have the greater chance in the final.
